Madagascar Rice Pilaff
Ingredients:
¼ lb. butter
1 large chopped yellow onion
2 large peeled and grated carrots
4 stalks celery diced
4 cloves of diced garlic
1 cup slivered almonds
1 bunch chopped parsley
3 cups long grain rice
5 cups chicken stock
2 TBS. Wildwood Blend All-Purpose Seasoning
In a large sauce pan or casserole pan melt butter and add all vegetables, garlic and almonds. Saute until vegetables are tender (approx. 5 minutes). Add Wildwood Blends All-Purpose Seasoning and rice. Stir until rice is coated with butter and vegetable mixture. Add chicken stock and parsley, bring to a boil and cut back to a simmer. Cover and finish on top of the stove under low heat until rice is tender and stock absorbed. May also place in 350° oven covered for approx. 30 minutes until rice is tender. Fluff with fork when finished before serving.
